Prerequisite to Courses #2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7
Course Title: Why am I special or What is My Value Proposition?

Course Description
Students expand their knowledge of self through rediscovering guiding core values; developing skills and interests around family, work, entrepreneurship, creativity, collaboration, money and lifestyle; matching words to actions, and being of service to others. Students participate in interactive activities to illuminate to themselves, and share with others in class, who they are and what they value and what value they bring to their personal and professional endeavors. Basic principals of human intelligence building are introduced which include ones capacity to reason, plan, contextualize, synthesize, problem-solve, think, comprehend ideas, use language and learn. This 3-day intensive course is offered in September and January (See School Calendar for dates and times). It is a pre-requisite to all IAE courses and must be completed before enrolling in any other course.

Course Title: Creating Value Through Everyday Living

Course Description
Students learn how to leverage their time and resources to increase personal and professional value through evaluation of personal investment in daily activities and use of available resources. Fundamental concepts of how to build shared language and ethical culture, identify untapped opportunities, and increase whole brain thinking will be explored to improve communication, collaborate and strengthen their critical/strategic thinking and problem solving skills. Course Title:Unspoken Game Changers: Managing Perception & Customer Relationships

Course Description
Students learn to develop perception, build trust and manage relationships. Meyers Briggs/Jung Personality theory is explored Emphasis on listening and questioning abilities; curiosity and optimism building; and utilizing communication styles for the purpose of advancing a relationship and/or new concepts, ideas, products or services. Students learn the principles of selling and the role of salesmanship in everything they do in life. Students develop core entrepreneurial skills in sales, marketing, building public identity, trust and servant leadership. Pitching, storytelling, interpersonal group skills, communication in teams, the use of different social media tools, and communicating through technical and/or design elements will be explored. Course Title: Where is My Pot of Gold

Course Description
Students use whole brain thinking to create both productive and creative "flow" in life, building reciprocal and interdisciplinary relationships. The value system of the rainforest and the creative economy, are explored through case studies and group projects. Students learn how good ideas are developed, the role of piracy in innovation, and how reciprocity and the matching of one's actions and words produces revenue more quickly. A Revenue model(s) will be developed/refined. Topics include building, leveraging and licensing intellectual property; product and service business models; and crowd source funding. Course Description
Students begin to build their tribe by identifying and developing customer segments and key partnerships. Tribe behavior, group dynamics, fierce communications, and evaluating and acting on new opportunities are emphasized. The role of research through experiential self-directed experimentation models that include volunteering, shadowing, isolated skill-building and failure will be highlighted to help students learn how to network and build trusted mentors, colleagues, peers and tribes. Students design new ways of sharing, spending, saving, living and doing through comparison of their value proposition statement to all activities, resources and relationships. Understanding how to minimize costs to maximize benefits is emphasized. Topics include identifying and evaluating actual and perceived costs of key activities, customer relationships, channels, customer segments, revenue streams, key resources and key partnerships.
